South Placer County is noted for its gently rolling hills, majestic oak trees and views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The generously equipped Lifestyle Fitness Center provides a variety of exercise machines and trained fitness personnel. Also, we have a dance and aerobics studio, a 25-meter indoor swimming pool for aquacize classes, water polo and lap swimming. There is also an outdoor resort-style pool. If you are a tennis buff, there are six lighted tennis courts, two paddle tennis courts, a basketball half-court, bocci courts, horseshoe pits and walking trails throughout the community.
Roseville is ranked as one of the top 10 cities in Northern California in which to live and work. Hewlett-Packard Company, NEC Electronics, Oracle, and Kaiser Permanente are only four of the major corporations who decided to locate in Roseville and they continue to expand their sites here. The Galleria is home to Nordstrom, Macy’s, JCPenney, Sears and 140 specialty shops plus dining and entertainment. Roseville is also famous for its “antique row” containing six blocks of collectibles and memorabilia on Vernon Street and a 40,000 square foot building on Harding Blvd.
Roseville’s medical facilities offer the new Sutter Roseville Medical Center and the new Kaiser Permanente Clinic. In nearby Sacramento are the region’s four largest hospitals — the UC Medical Center, Sutter Memorial and Sutter General Hospitals, and the Mercy General Hospital.
Even though you may never want to leave home, Lake Tahoe is a must see. The wonderful Gold Country and Highway 49 offer great day trips to picturesque towns with wonderful restaurants and shops. The foothills and the city of Sacramento offer different delights and all are worth seeing. Sacramento is the capital of California so this “big city” offers theater, dining, Old Town Sacramento, museums, the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, and the summer fun at the Music Circus. Small town theaters are great fun and can be found in Roseville, Rocklin, Nevada City and throughout the area.
Folsom Lake and the American and Sacramento Rivers offer fishing and boating opportunities right in your “back yard”. The American River Parkway runs from Folsom Lake to downtown Sacramento. You can hike, jog or ride your bike on all or just part of the bikeway.
Sun City Roseville itself covers approximately 1,200 acres with 3,100 homes and was Del Webb’s first Northern California community for active adults. This lovely community is located between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe just north of Sacramento within easy access to the Sacramento Metropolitan Airport and Interstate 80. The city of Roseville is located in South Placer County and the homes are served by Roseville Utilities and Roseville Telephone Company.
The homes range in size from 968 square feet to 2,681 square feet. All homes are one story, many have fireplaces and easy maintenance landscaping.
